School Can’t Australia (SCA) is the largest national group supporting parents & carers of children experiencing school attendance difficulties. There are many ways you can get involved by either joining our team, making a tax deductible donation, or writing to members of parliament driving for change.

Help us continue to support parents and carers of children and youth experiencing school attendance and mental health difficulties by contributing a donation. Donations help us to cover running costs, build resources and expand our services.

Volunteer with us

We are often looking for people to volunteer their skills and time. Positions will be posted here and advertised on our social media pages.

  • School Can't Australia is seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our existing board. 

    Commitment to attend monthly meetings held online on the first Friday of the month in the mornings. Previous governance experience preferred.

    Board member with expertise in one of the following domains; finance, legal, fundraising, philanthropy and grant writing, and / or business development .  

    Lived experience of supporting a child who has/is experiencing school attendance difficulties is not essential, but you must be supportive of our group's values & vision.

  • School Can't Australia is seeking passionate volunteers to join our Grants & Philanthropy Committee to help secure funding that will support our transition to a not-for-profit organisation and expand our programs and services for families affected by school can't.

    This is a remote, work from home, volunteer position with flexible scope and hours.

    In this role you work closely with, and report to, the SCA coordinator.

  • School Can't Australia is seeking a dedicated Webinar Program Support volunteer to assist with the technical and logistical aspects of our online education program, preferably with a Lived Experience understanding of School Can't.
